What better represents a local community than a farmers' market? Local, small businesses, farmers, and nonprofits coming together to showcase what their town or city has to offer. Beyond fresh produce and baked goods, a farmers market is a gathering for local residents and visitors to connect with others, a diverse experience of a rural or urban community in a short-time, and a great way to support new and local farmers that are the backbone of our state.

The past two weekends, I have been able to visit both the Murfreesboro Saturday on the Square and the Kingsport Farmers Market. Great conversations all around learning from local residents, farmers, and business owners. Thank you to everyone that took the time to meet with me, for sharing your passion for what you do, and for letting me know what Tennessee means to you! Love your local farmers market and live in Tennessee? Then comment below where I should go next!
